Welcome to my PIO page! My name is Dustin Cox and my call sign is N0DRC. I have been a ham radio operator since March of 2007. I was originally licensed with the call sign KE5NKG which was an interesting call, which is a story for another time! I am a current Colorado EMT-Basic and serve at my college as an event EMT. I attend Trinidad State Junior College studying premed which is my first step to becoming a medical doctor. Being a ham radio operator has helped a lot in different parts of my life. I enjoy it because of all the great people I get to meet and learning more about the hobby and even building new toys! I have been in the media relations area since I was young. I started off as a reporter for my 4-H club and then started doing 4-H promotions as the Chairmen to the Bernalillo County 4-H Promotions Committee in 2005. After becoming a ham radio operator I became very active in promoting my hobby online and in my community. I am currently serving as a Public Information Officer At Large for the Colorado Section of the American Radio Relay League, ARRL. I became a member of the ARRL since 2008 and have held membership ever since. I also serve as the Assistant Director of Net Operations for the VoIP Skywarn & Hurricane Net held on Echolink and IRLP. I have been serving in many areas of ham radio since I got my “ticket” in 2007 and will continue for as long as I am alive! I want to see ham radio continue for many generations to come! I am also an active storm chaser and spotter for the National Weather Service with my ID being LAS46. That is just a little about me and you will just have to get to know me to find out the whole story! 73!
